MOUNT VERNON — Bruce Charles Claypool, 26, of Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Knox Community Hospital.
He was a 2004 graduate of East Knox High School and Knox County Career Center with a trade in licensed carpentry. Bruce loved his family, many friends and animals.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart, Heather Michelle Claypool; three daughters, Hannah Elizabeth, age 4, Victoria Marie, age 2, Safhira Lynn, 4 months, all of Mount Vernon; his mother, Sheila L. Parsons of Bladensburg; his brother, Andrew R. (Becky) Claypool of Fredericktown; his maternal grandmother, Anna M. Parsons of Mount Vernon; a nephew, Riley Claypool; sister-in-law, Sami Sapp of Mount Vernon; and good friend, Jason Morgan of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Pastor Thurman Parsons.
Friends may call Monday from noon to 2 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Pastor William Fennell will be officiating. The family will observe a private burial at a later date.
