COLUMBUS — Jessie Linda Watson King, 64, wife of Ronald Brown, passed away July 7, 2011, in her home, from Pulmonary Fibrosis.

She was born Sept. 18, 1946, in Mount Vernon to Hugh T. and Evelyn Tarr Watson.

Jessie is survived by her husband; her mother; and her three brothers, Hugh (Carolyn) of Texas, Doug (Carol) of Kentucky and Ian (Charlotte) of Mount Vernon. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Owen Brown of Columbus and Jane (John) Faehnle of Perrysburg; four stepgrandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

Jessie received her B.S. in Education and her M.A. from The Ohio State University. She taught special education for 30 years in the Columbus Public School System. Jessie served in many offices for The Daughters of Scotland and is a former convenor of the Mid Ohio Scottish Heritage Association.

A memorial service will be held in the auditorium at Wesley Glen, 5155 N. High St., Columbus, on Saturday, July 16, at 2 p.m. Additional parking is available near Victory Fitness in Graceland, where a walkway leads to Wesley Glen.
