JACKSON, Mich. — Nathan Paul Hanna, 52, of Jackson, Mich., died Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Duane L. Waters Hospital, Jackson, Mich.

He was born Dec. 13, 1958, in Hamilton, Ohio, to the late Harley J. Hanna and Eleanor P. Hanna.

Nathan is survived by his mother, Eleanor Hanna (Fred Rooker) of Utica; a daughter, Sonja Hanna of Gaylord, Mich.; two stepchildren, Chasity and Chad Dean; two sisters, Sherrell (Tom) Benedict of Utica and Rochelle (Greg) Arck of Mount Vernon; two brothers, Roland (Jackie) Hanna of Utica and Jim Hanna of Utica; foster sister, Fati (Tom) Fuchs of Gahanna; nephews, Aaron Campbell, Casey Arck, Harley Hanna, Jay Hanna, Trevor Hanna, Tyler Hanna; nieces, MariJane Campbell, Sarah (Jeremy) Smith, Courtney (Richard) Sabo and Taylor Hanna.; great-nephews, Christopher Sabo, Christian Arck, Cody Cockrell, Christopher Fuchs, Nicholas Fuchs; and great-nieces, Carley Sabo, Khloe Arck, Addison Smith and Carley Fuchs.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harley J. Hanna; a nephew, Christopher Arck; and a niece, Rachel Hanna.

Nathan graduated in 1977 from East Knox High School and Knox County JVS. He worked in welding and construction in Ohio and Michigan.

The family would like to thank all who sent cards and letters to Nathan and also gave support through thoughts and prayers.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
