DANVILLE — Jobie Junior Johnson, 60, of West Washington Street, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

He was born July 5, 1951, in Prestonsburgh, Ky., to the late Jobie and Minerva (Stapleton) Johnson. He worked in oil fields all of his life, loved to golf, and he loved his dog, Sabot.

He is survived by a daughter, Katrina (Scott) Rine of Bladensburg; a son, Jamie Johnson of Danville; four grandchildren, Josie (Brandon) Mizer, and Adam, Lindsey and Madison Rine, all of Bladensburg; two sisters, Carol (Norman) Reed and Debbie (Mike) Boeshart, both of Mount Vernon; five brothers, John (Helen) Johnson of Coshocton, Roy (Sheri) Johnson of Texas, Ronnie (Kim) Johnson of Danville, Mike Johnson of Millersburg and Martin Johnson of Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, J. Jason Johnson; and a nephew, Cody Johnson.
