FREDERICKTOWN — Arthur E. Snyder II, 46, of Fredericktown, died Friday, July 22, 2011, at the Ohio State University Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 20, 1964, in Mount Vernon, a son of Arthur E. and Judith (Blakely) Snyder of Fredericktown. Arthur was a 1983 graduate of Fredericktown High School. Before declining health, Arthur was a pipefitter for Capital Fire Protection in Columbus. He enjoyed fishing, watching monster trucks, and doing anything outdoors. Arthur loved to tinker with things, just to see how it worked. He always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Arthur was Catholic by faith.

In addition to his parents, Arthur is survived by his children, Britney Hartley of Howard, and Hannah and Holly Snyder of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Kara and Carson Hartley; sister, Angel (Michael) Miller of Heath; brothers, Brad Snyder of Mansfield and Brien (Michele) Snyder of Howard; and several nieces and nephews.

Arthur was preceded in death by a son, Bryant Arthur Snyder, on June 11, 2010.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 26, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 27, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Hinterschied presiding. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
