MOUNT VERNON — Steve E. Algire, 56, of Fredericktown, died early Thursday morning, July 28, 2011, at the Ohio State Medical Center East.

He was born Aug. 4, 1954, in Mount Vernon to the late Joe Everett Algire and Marjorie Ann (Wells) Fearn. Steve was a 1972 graduate of Fredericktown High School. He went on to own his own electrical business, Midstate Electric and later Algire Electric. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 688.

Steve is survived by three children, Andrew Algire of Fredericktown, Ashley Algire of Westerville and Blake Algire of Fredericktown; two sisters, Brenda Algire of Mount Vernon and Kathy Salyers of Grove City; and one half brother, Kyle Algire of Florida.

Friends may call at the New Life Community Church, 9955 State Route 95, Fredericktown, on Monday, Aug. 1, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Tuesday, Aug. 2, from 10 to 11 a.m., where funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dennis Turner officiating. The burial will follow in Bunker Hill Cemetery.
