FREDERICKTOWN — Dalene M. Durieux, 82, of Fredericktown, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011, at the Ohio State University Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 24, 1928, in Mount Vernon to the late Dale and Erma (Robinson) Halsey. Dalene was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and spent most of her lifetime helping her husband Joseph work on the family farm in Waterford. She was a member of the Ann Hill Chapter 81, Order of the Eastern Star, and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Dalene attended the First Baptist Church in Fredericktown. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.

She is survived by a son, Jeff (Jeannie) Durieux of Fredericktown; a daughter, Connie (Douglas) Winters of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Donnie (Connie) Wittman, Marcie (Rick Poole) Wittman, Chad (Ronda O’Brien) Wittman and Cora (Daniel Spayde) Winters; and six great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Durieux; and a great-granddaughter.

Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Pastor Mary Miller and Mrs. Shirley Miller will be officiating. Burial will follow in North Fork Cemetery near Waterford.
