WHITE OAK, Texas — David H. Van Breeman, 54, of White Oak, Texas, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at his home after a short battle with cancer.
He was born in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Harry R. Van Breemen and Patricia A. Van Breemen. David was a hard-working man who loved his family above himself. He was valiant and unselfish to those he loved and who loved him the most. Among other things, he was known for his loud infectious laugh. He treasured time spent cooking out and four-wheeling with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving family, Traci Smith and Eric Smith of White Oak, Texas. He is also survived by his father and mother; sister, Susan Vernon of Centerburg, Ohio; sister, Julie Van Breemen of Mount Vernon, Ohio; sister, Diane (Ed) Kent of Warsaw, Ohio; sister, Denise (Jeff) Krauskopf of Alexandria, Ohio; brother, Daniel Van Breemen of Gladewater, Texas; sister, Debra (Frank) Wells of Mount Vernon, Ohio; and sister, Linda (Scott) Tarrh of Walhonding, Ohio. Also surviving are nine nephews, six nieces, two great-nieces and one great-nephew.
Calling hours are Monday, Aug. 8, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon. The memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. and burial will be at the Brandon Cemetery.
