CENTERBURG — Jay Tucker, 60, of Centerburg, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at Knox Community Hospital, Mount Vernon.

He was born in Columbus on Jan. 17, 1951, to David Tucker of Mount Vernon and the late Evelyn (Packard) Tucker. A U.S. Army veteran during Vietnam and member of the Vineyard Community Church, Johnstown.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Linda (Brown) Tucker; son, Jason (Janell); daughter, Tracy (Patrick) Samanich; six grandchildren; brother, Tom (Janet) Tucker of Centerburg; and nieces and nephews.

Preceded by brother, Michael David Tucker.

Friends may call Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at the Vineyard Community Church, 10444 Crouse-Willison Road, Johnstown, with a memorial service at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastors Jason and Tom Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery. Arrangements by DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury.
