MOUNT VERNON — Darlene “Tootie” Mowery, 76, of Mount Vernon, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 13, 1934, in Hillsboro to the late Mike and Mary (Harris) Wilcox. She was a retired injection molder for Plastics Research Products of Urbana. Tootie was an avid quilter.
Survived by her husband, Bill Mowery; sons, James (Sue) Jackson, Mark Jackson; daughters, Vicki (Rick) Dunlavy, Terri (Jerry) Ropp; stepsons, Billy, Tom and Bob Mowery; stepdaughters, Nancy and Sharon Mowery, Sue Patrakis, Sandy St. Onge; 24 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brother, Calvin Wilcox; brother-in-law, John Barnhard.
Preceded in death by her sister, Jean Barnhard.
Friends may call Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Wayne Booth officiating. Interment in the Northlawn Memory Gardens, Westerville.
