LEXINGTON — Ralph Hershner, 94, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital.
Born Sept. 6, 1916, in Morrow County to Samuel and Grace (Loveland) Hershner, he was a member of Carpenter’s Union Local 735 and worked with Crawford Construction. He served as a Lexington village councilman and was a member of Lexington Church of Christ.
Survived by his wife, Theola (Armstrong) Hershner; their children, Shirley (Walter “Mick”) Cashell, Ralph E. “Gene” (Susan) Hershner, Phyllis Schumacher and Gerrianne (Larry) Krempel; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by grandson, Thomas P. Ute Jr.; brother, Robert Hershner; and infant sister.
Friends may call Tuesday, Aug. 9, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. Pastors Scott Williams and Claude Likins officiating. Burial in Lexington Cemetery.
