MANSFIELD — Robert Allen Sleek, 95, passed away Aug. 10, 2011, at Oak Grove Manor.
Robert was born Dec. 30, 1915, in Mansfield to Jesse and Clara (Burggraf) Sleek. A 1934 graduated of Mansfield Senior High, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On Feb. 15, 1941, he married Norma G. Underwood. Robert worked as a machinist for Westinghouse, retiring after 38 years. He was a member of the Steam Corners United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 70 years; daughters, Karen Preuit of Canal Fulton, Linda Hyatt of Euless, Texas, and Arlyn “Lynn” Rush of Mansfield; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call Friday, 1 to 2 p.m., at the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where funeral will follow at 2, beginning with Masonic service. Pastor Mark Bailey will officiate; burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery.
