LIBBY, Mont. — William Lee “Big Red” Burson, 73, passed away Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell, Mont.

William (Tom) was born July 13, 1938, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to Lela and Roscoe Burson. Tom graduated from Amity High School in Amity in 1956. After his years of serving in the U.S. Army, he was then employed in the Mount Vernon, area until the year 1972 he and his family relocated to Perrysville.

Tom and his wife, Cheryl, moved to Libby, Mont., in 2003. His love will be greatly missed by us all. We are so thankful for all the wonderful memories he has given us.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl K. Burson of Libby, Mont.; daughter, Tammy (David) Winn of Libby, Mont.; son, Thomas (Latonda) Burson of Loudonville; son, Randy (Pam) Burson of Perrysville; son, Troy (Jody) Hall of Loudonville; daughter, Theressa (Kent) Savage of Loudonville; son, Trent Hall of Mansfield; wife/widow of late son Terry Hall, Nada Hall of Mansfield; 36 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; six siblings, Ann Jordan, Sandra Porter and Donald (Roberta) Burson, all of Bellville, Vicky Richards and Jenny (Jim) Deboard, all of Mount Vernon, and Biff (Susan) Smithisler of Columbus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; daughter, Kelly; and son, Terry.

Service for the family will be held at a later date.
