MOUNT VERNON — Jill A. Lybarger, 63, of Bone Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, at her home with her family at her side.

She was born Sept. 27, 1947, in Mount Vernon to the late Darwin and Wanda (Leonard) Cunningham. Jill was employed at DANA Corp. from which she retired in 2006 after 30 years of service. She attended the King of Christ Community Church. Jill enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, wiener roasts, and sending cards to family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Denise (Gene) Berry of Howard, Kelly (Don) Lybarger-DeWitt of Mount Vernon, Pamela Riley of Mount Vernon; the children’s father, Michael Lybarger of Gambier; six grandchildren, Shanna (Scott) Richards, Eli Turner (Heather Gruenwald), Devin Berry, Halle Berry, Collin Riley and Dakota Riley; two great-grandchildren, Carter Henry and Coby Richards; her brothers, Gary (Fran) Cunningham of Sparta, Mo., Jack (Angela) Cunningham of Mount Vernon, Jeff Cunningham of Fredericktown; half brother, William (Karen) Cunningham of Fredericktown; a stepsister, Julie (Gary) O’Brien of Mount Vernon; stepmother, Burdetta Cunningham; and canine companion, Dora.

Besides her parents, Jill was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Grogg Sr.; and a half brother, Brian Cunningham.

Friends may call Thursday, Aug. 18, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, where a service will follow beginning at 7 p.m., with Chaplain Terry McLaughlin officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Knox Community Hospital, Center for Cancer Care, The Station Break or Hospice of Knox County.
