FREDERICKTOWN — Raymond R. Kidwell, 88, formerly of Fredericktown, died Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, at Morrow Manor, Chesterville.

On Feb. 3, 1923, Raymond was born in Morrow County, the son of the late Ray and Bernice (Crawford) Kidwell. He was drafted into the U.S. Army to help in the fight of World War II. Raymond returned to Morrow County, where he met his wife to be, Helen Andress. They were married on June 27, 1947, and she preceded him in death on July 28, 2002.

Raymond will be missed by his brother, Russell Kidwell of Galion; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Including his wife and parents, Raymond was preceded in death by two brothers, Calvin and Albert Kidwell.

Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead, where Masonic services will follow at 5 p.m. Services will also be held there Monday at 10:30 a.m., with Celebrant Don Lockwood officiating. Burial will follow in Rivercliff Cemetery.
