JOHNSTOWN — Hazel L. Kenney, 91, of Johnstown, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at Darby Glenn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hilliard. Funeral service will be Saturday, Aug. 27, at 10 a.m. at Crouse-Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, with the Rev. John Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Kenney was born Sept. 18, 1919, in Homer. She held various positions at the family held businesses. She was a member of the Johnstown United Methodist Church, where she became a member in 1952. Hazel was a member of the CCL Club and the T.W.I.G. She was a member and served in many positions of other groups and organizations. She loved attending all of her grandson’s activities as long as she could. She also enjoyed watching all kinds of sporting events, was a worldwide traveler and was a huge Buckeye fan.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Edward Kenney of Johnstown; daughter, Susan (William) Emery of Columbus; and three grandsons, William “Will,” Edward “Ted” and George Emery.

Family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Hazel to the donor’s choice. An online memorial will be located at http://www.cksammons.com.
