Mervin Wayne Doup, 95, our most beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, neighbor, and friend, died peacefully Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, at 5:35 a.m. in Phoenix, Ariz. Mervin was born and raised in Fredericktown, then moved to Phoenix in the 1970s.
Mervin’s Family: His beloved wife of 68 years, Martha Karlene; children, Marthalyn (Glen), Gerald, Barbara; grandchildren, Stephanie (Mark), Sheila (Doug), Stephan (Bunny), Scott (Vicki), Brooke, Brian, Mark (Roberta), David (Ann); great-grandchildren, Alyssa (Adam), Audra (Matt), Brandy, Charlotte, D. Michael, Derek, Jacqueline (David), Jonathan, Kayla, Kurt, Samuel, Tiffany, Tom, Tracie, Tyler, Yvonne (Erich), Zachary; great-great-grandchildren, Blake, Claire, Colson, Gabriel, Kaylee, Sean, Tatum, Titus (plus two on the way!); brother, Encil (Dorothy); numerous nieces and nephews. Mervin was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Chelcia (Phillips) Doup; and brother, Warren.
Family and friends will honor Mervin’s kind and cherished life in a service planned for Fredericktown. (Date and time will be announced.)
