MOUNT VERNON — Audrey E. Suain, 86, of Mount Vernon passed away Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at the Country Club Retirement Campus in Mount Vernon.

She was born March 18, 1925, in New Kensington, Pa., daughter of the late Chauncey and Mabel (Easton) Welsh. Audrey was cafeteria supervisor for the Centerburg schools and was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Mount Vernon.

Audrey is survived by her sons, Kenneth (June) Suain of Mount Vernon and Daniel (Donna) Suain of Columbus; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Richey of New Kensington, Pa.

In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Suain; a son, Rexford Suain; a granddaughter, Nira; a great-grandson, Devin; and a brother, Thomas Welsh.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, Sept. 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 10 a.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church, 170 Mansfield Ave., Mount Vernon, with Pastors Mark Wildermuth and Thom Fowler officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date.
