FREDERICKTOWN — Beverly L. Fearn, 84, of Fredericktown passed away Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her family

She was born April 18, 1927, in Fredericktown to Hector and Catharine (Lewis) Biefnes, graduated from Fredericktown High School and attended Ohio University in Athens. She retired as the owner and president of Edwards Sheet Metal Co. in Fredericktown, where she worked alongside her mother, Catharine “Moppy” Biefnes, and her sister, Betty Lou Stanford. Beverly was a member of the Fredericktown United Methodist Church and served on the church’s building committees. She served on the Fredericktown Area Development Committee and the board of the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. She was also a member of the Thursday Club in Fredericktown.

She is survived by a son, Bradley (Barrie) Fearn of Fredericktown; two daughters, Chris (Dick) Well and Stephanie (Michael) Frazier, both of Fredericktown; 10 grandchildren, Amy Krownapple, Whitney (Troy) Ansel, Ashley (Dr. Jake) Overholt, Justin Fearn, Lindsay (Greg) Gladman, Hector (Montenique) Frazier, Landon “Biff” (Amanda) Frazier, Michael Maggard, Jason Price and Jennifer Price; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild on the way.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Bruce “Biff” Fearn; a sister, Betty Lou Stanford; a grandson, Levi Brody Frazier, grandson-in-law, Ryan Maggard; and her niece, Debbie Stanford Price.

Friends may call Tuesday, Sept. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Fredericktown United Methodist Church, 123 Columbus Road, Fredericktown, where funeral service will be Wednesday at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Dr. Keith Bohley officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund, Fredericktown United Methodist Church, 123 Columbus Road, Fredericktown, OH 43019.

The family of Beverly Fearn would like to thank and recognize all of those who served as caregivers to Beverly during her illness over the past five years.
