MOUNT VERNON — Cheryl A. Ewalt, 54, of Hall Drive, Mount Vernon, passed away Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.

She was born Sept. 26, 1956, in Mount Vernon to William Paisley and Gladys (Beckholt) Gardner. Cheryl worked as a home health aide and enjoyed cooking and mushroom hunting. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, John S. Ewalt, whom she married on Sept. 1, 1973; a son, Jason (Yolanda) Ewalt of Howard; a granddaughter, Briana Ewalt; three sisters, Lori (Jack) Furgerson of Illinois, Gwen (Rick) Gibson of Bellville and Holly Rainey of Bellville; and her father, William “Bill” (Carol) Paisley.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys (Beckholt) Gardner.

The family will observe a private graveside service in Mound View Cemetery. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Cheryl A. Ewalt.
