CHESTERVILLE — Carl T. “Boz” Gray, 84, of Chesterville, passed away at his home on Sept. 11, 2011.

Carl was born June 8, 1927, in Radnor to James Wesley and Margaret (Eckles) Gray. He was unique in his own way. He was known for his quirky antics and witty nature. He was happily married to June (Wright) Gray for 57 years. He was a loving father and grandfather. After retiring as a truck driver he enjoyed wood working, gardening and watching wrestling. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. “You don’t have to be rushed off now, ya hear.”

Carl is survived by his children, Kathleen (Larry) Weiler of Chesterville, Michael (Roseanne) Gray of Galion, Connie (Sandy) Beckel of Chesterville and Jeffrey (Melanne Brown) Gray of Marengo; grandchildren, Doug (Rachel) Weiler, Dianne (Jeffrey) Whisler, Lori (Matthew) Novak, Chad (Amy) Weiler, Tara (Chris) Sharp, Kristen (Will) Whitaker, Candace (Scott) Thompson, Stephanie Gray and Taylor Gray; great-grandchildren, Douglas, Vincent and Jacob Weiler, Devon, Spenser, Mitchell and Sophia Whisler, Sydney and Abigail Novak, Zachary and Brett Weiler, Broderick Thompson and Ethan, Tripp and Henna Gray; great-great-grandchild, Logan Weiler; and one sister-in-law, Jo Gray.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, James Wesley and Margaret (Eckles) Gray; his beloved wife, June Beatrice (Wright) Gray; and one brother, Kenneth Gray.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery with military honors provided by VFW Post 8054 and AMVETS Post 87.
