FREDERICKTOWN — Lucy A. Currie, 88, of Fredericktown, died Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon.
Lucy was born Sept. 8, 1923, in Cleveland to Adam and Stephanie (Golanska) Kedzerski. She was raised in Rock Creek, graduated from Rock Creek High School and moved to the Fredericktown area in 1960.
Surviving are her son, Mike J. Currie of Fredericktown; daughters, Kathie (John) Pinkney of Plano, Texas, Joanne (Dennis Moore) Wilkinson of Babcock, Wis., and Jeanne (John) Davis of Fredericktown; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her brother, Ed Kedzerski of Rock Creek; and her sister-in-law, Lorry Halverson of Red Wing, Minn.
Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Currie, in 2007; an infant daughter, Joyce Currie; four sisters, Gene Polaski, Char Krzackowski, Ann Viska and Irene McLaughlin; and three brothers, Ray Kedzerski, Leo Kedzerski and Joe Kedzerski.
There will be no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown at a later date.
