BELLVILLE — Donald L. Snavely, 72, of Bellville, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011, in Hospice of North Central Ohio.

Don was born March 10, 1939, in Mansfield to Harold and Edith (Weaver) Snavely. He retired from the General Motors Plant in Ontario after 32 years. Don operated his farm on Honeycreek Road raising Registered Polled Hereford cattle, Angora goats and crops.

Survived by wife, Judith Kay (Ink) Snavely; children, Brenda (Scott) Gerhart, Karen (Scott) Maglott, Diana (Robert) Carlin and Bradley (Martha) Snavely; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon (Don) Hazle; several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents; infant granddaughter, Amanda Gerhart; and nephew, Brian Hazle.

Friends may call Sunday from 2-6 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Rev. Douglas J. Pretorius will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
