DADE CITY, Fla. — Wendell W. “Windy” Skeen, 82, of Dade City, Fla., passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at Gulfside Regional Hospice in Florida following a long illness.
He was born Oct. 14, 1928, in Utica, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Emily of Dade City, Fla.; his daughter and son-in-law, Connie Jo and Thomas Workman of Mount Vernon, Ohio; three grandchildren, Nacole, Eric T. and Emily Workman; three great-grandchildren, Alex, Caitlin and Kylie; a brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Mary Skeen of Utica, Ohio; sister and brother-in-law, Norma and Bob Robbins of Delaware, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Bertha Skeen; and his first wife, Edith (Vernon) Skeen.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service was held at First Baptist Church, 38231 Fifth Ave., Zephyrhills, FL 33542. A family graveside service will be Oct. 8 at 2 p.m. at Memorial Gardens in Mount Vernon with the Rev. Bob Hendrix officiating.
