HOWARD — Beth Phelan, 63, of both Marco Island, Fla., and Howard (Apple Valley) Ohio, formerly of Hilliard and Grove City, passed away at home in Apple Valley surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011.

She was born July 29, 1948, and was the daughter of Edward A. and Agnes B. Tonti. Beth was a graduate of St. Joe’s Academy and the University of Dayton. Beth will be remembered by her daily motto: Live, Love, Laugh. She will never be forgotten for her long courageous fight with cancer and her inspirational attitude in facing it, even during really bad days.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward; mother, Agnes; and brother, Mark.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert J., of 42 years; daughter, Laura K.; sons, Mark R. and Timothy R.; sister, Elaine Bennett; and brothers, Brian and Edward Tonti.

Beth was a member of both St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville and San Marco Catholic Church in Marco Island, Fla.

Friends are invited to attend Beth’s Funeral Mass on Monday, Oct. 3, at 11 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church with the Rev. Father F. Richard Snoke as celebrant. St. Luke Church and Community Center are located at 307 S. Market St., Danville. Interment will follow in St. Luke Cemetery, then followed by a lunch at the St. Luke Community Center to celebrate Beth’s life.
