LEXINGTON — Victor N. Knox, 67, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at Mansfield MedCentral Hospital following an extended illness.

He was born Oct. 8, 1943, in Akron to Victor J. and Hazel G. (Smith) Knox. For 30 years Victor dedicated his life as an elementary teacher and administrator; 19 of those years were spent in Ashland City Schools as both teacher and principal.

Survived by wife, Peggy Knox of Lexington; children, Jeffry (Carey) Knox, Kristi (Mark) Boone and Amy (Trent) Creel; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Dennis Knox; sister, Pamela Hill; brother, James Knox; uncles, Eugene Smith and Kenneth Smith; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Preceded in death by his parents; and grandmother, Lona Fiecoat.

Friends may call Sunday, Oct. 2, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Susan Lausch will officiate and burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery.
