NEWARK — Rheva J. Ridenbaugh, 75, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.

She was born in Fredericktown, on July 13, 1936, and was a 1954 graduate of Fredericktown High School.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Russell E. Ridenbaugh; parents, Roy and Marian Whirl; brothers, Robert and John Whirl; daughter-in-law, Melody Ridenbaugh; and one great-granddaughter.

Rheva is survived by her sons, Rick Ridenbaugh, Roger (Lynn) Ridenbaugh, Donald Ridenbaugh; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Marjorie Robbins, Madeline Mead, Creta (Reno) Barber, Marilyn Hess, Doris Stilner, Brenda (Jerry) Sears, Janet Whirl, David (Karen) Whirl, Linda (Bill) Carter; and sister-in-law, Alice Whirl; and many nieces and nephews.

Rheva was devoted to her family, and she loved celebrating the holidays with them. She also enjoyed quilting and spending time with her beloved dog, Holly.
