JOHNSTOWN — Kenneth B. Bruce, 95, of Johnstown, passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2011.

A funeral service will be held Monday, Oct. 10, at 10 a.m. at Crouse-Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, with Pastor Dan McLaughlin. Interment to follow at Wilson Cemetery in Newark.

Kenneth was born Sept. 17, 1916, in Utica to the late Thomas and Josie (Crotinger) Bruce. Kenneth, a self-employed farmer, was a former member of the Licking County Farm Bureau.

Kenneth is survived by his son, Donald (Margaret) Bruce of Johnstown; brother, Royal (Betty) Bruce of Granville; two grandchildren, Brian Bruce of Johnstown and Jane (Daniel) Cayton of Newark; two great-granddaughters, Caleigh and Cassidy Kness; two stepgreat- granddaughters, Lauren and Brittany Cayton; sister-in-law, Dorothy Bruce of Newark; special family friend, Ashley Russell of Heath; along with several nieces and nephews.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Dema Pauline Bruce; two brothers, James and Dale Bruce; sister and brother-in-law, Ava and Homer Rhodeback; and brother-in-law, Wayne Kinsey.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, Oct. 9, from 2 to 5 p.m. An online memorial can be located at http://www.cksammons.com.
