FRAZEYSBURG — Shirley A. Fowls, 81, of Frazeysburg, passed away Oct. 8, 2011, at Country Club Retirement Campus.

She was born Nov. 17, 1929, in Frazeysburg to the late Miles Wesley and Annabelle (Rinehart) Lupher. Shirley was a member of the Perry Chapel Baptist Church.

Shirley is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Judy Fowls of Warsaw; her daughter, Carol Staats of Mount Vernon; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and brothers, Bob Lupher and Bill (Barb) Lupher, both of Frazeysburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Fowls; a daughter, Christine White; and a brother, Miles “Tad” Lupher.

Friends may call Tuesday, Oct. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Perry Chapel Baptist Church, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Dodridge officiating. Burial will follow in Perry Chapel Cemetery. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Bladensburg is handling the funeral arrangements for the Fowls family.
