CENTERBURG — Richard Wilson “Dick” Scholl, 74, of Centerburg, died unexpectedly Monday, Oct. 10, 2011.

He was born Dec. 1, 1936, in Croton to Daniel and Juanita (Wilson) Scholl. He was drafted in 1960 and served in the U.S. Army with a rank of SP5 in Korea. Richard worked as a mechanic and an erector before devoting his working life to farming.

Survived by his wife, Carol (Harding) Scholl; father, Daniel Scholl; siblings, William Dane (Donna) Scholl, David (Nancy) Scholl, Sharon Scholl Luft, John Mark (Mary) Scholl; brother-in-law, Leo (Ginger) Harding; and nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. They may also call one hour prior to the 11 a.m. service Saturday at the Grace Lutheran Church, 100 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, with Pastors Will Hartfelder and Richard Walston officiating. Interment in the Northlawn Memory Gardens, Westerville.
