SUNBURY — Albert F. “Al” Schoelkopf, 78, of Sunbury and formerly of Centerburg, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, surrounded by his family at his residence. He was born April 4, 1933, in Bear Creek, Wis., to the late Robert C. Schoelkopf and Elizabeth (Wagner) Glocke. He was a U.S. Air Force Korean War veteran. He was a retired self-employed home remodeler. Survived by his wife, Norma (Hawks) Schoelkopf; sons, David, Marcus (Joyce) Schoelkopf; daughter, Dru (Rick) Williams; stepsons, Scott (Pam) Hubbard, Rick, Ron, John Siegman; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Dale Miller. Preceded in death by brothers, Jack and Jim. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where a Masonic Service will be at 7 p.m. followed by military honors.
