FREDERICKTOWN — Mary Kathryn “Kate” Camp, 85, of West First Street, Fredericktown, passed away in her sleep at home on Friday, Oct. 21, 2011.

She was born Nov. 15, 1925, in Nelsonville, to the late Amos and Hannah (Lent) Lehman. Kate was the treasurer of the Fredericktown Schools Board of Education for over 15 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Deb Gallardo of Fredericktown and Sherida Sue Elliott of Tucson, Ariz.; her granddaughter, Rebekah Gallardo of California, Md.; two stepgreat-grandchildren of Aurora, Colo.; her sister, Ruth Smith of Fort Myers, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Kate was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Camp; two sisters, Naomi Gastin and Edith Taylor; and two brothers, Meredith and Clyde Lehman.

Friends may call Thursday, Oct. 27, at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown from 5 to 7 p.m. A service will be held Friday at the funeral home, beginning at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Gary Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.

Memorial contributions can be made to Central Ohio Diabetes Association, 1100 Dennison Ave., Columbus, OH 43201; or a charity of one’s choice.
