NEWARK — Kimberly R. “Kimber” Stevens, 41, of Newark, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, at The Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus.

She was born Dec. 8, 1969, in Marysville.

Kimber is survived by her mother, Dorless Barnhart (Ron Thomas) of Nashport; her father, Michael Barnhart Sr. of Hebron; two brothers, Mike Barnhart Jr. of Newark and Chad (Jennifer) Barnhart of Mount Vernon; a niece, Heather Barnhart of Mount Vernon; an aunt and uncle, Sandy and Clarence Swick of Bladensburg; her cat, Jesse; and many aunts, uncles and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Margaret and Charles Barker; and her uncle, Henry Barker.

Friends may call Friday, Oct. 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Bladensburg Church of Christ, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ben McKinstry officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Bladensburg is handling the funeral arrangements for the Stevens family.
