BELLVILLE — Georgia Gene Langley, 85, died Nov. 7, 2011, in her Bellville home.

She was born May 11, 1926, in Wichita, Kan., to James D. and Vina Mariam (Salmans) Colgan. She was employed by Boeing Aircraft Co., for 12 years. At Boeing, she met Air Force pilot Maurice Stafford “Staff” Langley, whom she married. In 1973, they “retired” to Bellville, and were partners in the Langley Myers Furniture Store.

Her loved ones include Joshua and Trisha Hughes, and their children, Madilyn, Griffin and Carliann; Thomas Hughes and Laura Brown; Emily and Daniel Hughes.

She was preceded in death by her husband; five sisters and two brothers.

Visitation is Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon in Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 3716 Bellville North Road, Bellville, where funeral service will follow at noon. The Rev. Dr. Beverly Hall will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
