LEXINGTON — Homer Berl Chandler, 83, of Lexington, passed away Nov. 19, 2011.
Homer was born Sept. 2, 1928, in Newville, W.Va., son of William and Birdie Mae (Morrison) Chandler. Homer served in the Army Air Corps. On Jan. 12, 1952, he married Helen Lucas, and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1964.
Homer is survived by daughter, Jean (Ray) Rinehart; sons, William David Chandler and Daniel (Sue) Chandler; two grandchildren, one great-granddaughter ; and a stepgreat-grandson.
Homer was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 46 years, Helen Chandler; siblings Merritt, Bencil, Elizabeth, Letcher, Charles, and Ruth Chandler, Vergie Blankenship, Dana Chandler, and Geneva Evans.
Visitation: Today, Nov. 21, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
