BELLVILLE — Mona Adams tended to her petunias and geraniums, but paid more attention to her husband, son and granddaughter. Though her flowers remained but a season, the time she invested tending to her family was eternal.

Mona V. Adams, 54, of Bellville passed away Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a short illness.

She was born Sept. 23, 1957, in Millersburg the daughter of Francis E. and Gladys “Peggy” (Lohr) Endsley and was graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1976. On Oct. 8, 1977, she married John A. Adams with whom she celebrated 34 years of marriage. Mona worked in the Richland County Courthouse for the Treasurer’s Office for the past 13 years.

She is survived by her husband, John Adams of Bellville; son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Jennifer Adams of Butler; a granddaughter, Megan Adams; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Jack Martin of Mount Vernon; father, Francis Endsley of Mount Vernon; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Avery and Ruth Adams of Bellville; along with several nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys “Peggy” Endsley, in 2001.

Friends may call today, Nov. 21, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Pastor Dave Bates will officiate and burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions to MedCentral Hospice may be made through the funeral home.
