MOUNT VERNON — Juanita Marie Wolford, 71, of Lewis Street, Mount Vernon, went to be with her Lord Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at her home with her family at her side.

She was born Oct. 31, 1940, in Holmes County to the late Cloyd and Hazel (Zollers) DeVore. Juanita was employed at the Mount Vernon Developmental Center as a Therapeutic Patient Worker and was a member of the New Harvest Church.

She is survived by her two daughters, Connie (Butch) Talbott of Mount Vernon and Beth (William) Royer of Mount Vernon; five grandchildren, Sarah Zuber, Samuel Talbott, Benjamin Talbott, Rachel Crim, Faith Crim; and four great-grandchildren, Callie Ackley, Lila Ackley, Grace Ackley, Owen Zuber; a sister, Sandra (John) Hall of Big Prairie, Ohio and two brothers, George DeVore of Danville and Walter DeVore of W. Va.

Besides her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Paul Wolford and two sons, Gary and Brian Wolford.

Friends may call Wednesday, Dec. 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home. A service will be held at the funeral home Thursday beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Shawn Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
