MOUNT VERNON — Bettie A. (McKinster) Kalb, 91, of Mount Vernon, formerly of Columbus and Worthington, passed away Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, at her home.

She retired from Huntington National Bank and Huntington Bankshares. She was a member of South United Methodist Church for 52 years, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for 36 years. In the past, she did volunteer work for several charitable organizations.

Bettie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph, in 1990.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Larry Uhrig; grandchildren, Lynn (Denny) and Loren (Jennifer); great-grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter and Hayden; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Donna McKinster; niece, Marsha (Guy) Coffman; nephews, Mark (Debbie) McKinster, Dennis (Diana) McKinster, Kenneth Koetz; and many cousins and friends.

A chapel service will be held Thursday, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
