NEWARK — Dwight Donald Harris, 81, of Newark passed away Sept. 30, 2011, at Flint Ridge Nursing Center.

He was born June 18, 1930, in Mount Vernon to the late Dwight Jennings and Margaret Amelia (Hinger) Harris. Mr. Harris was a 1948 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and had attended Ohio Wesleyan University. He owned and operated Harris Oldsmobile-Cadillac and later moved to Pompano Beach, Fla., where he owned and operated his own construction business.

He is survived by his children, Kimberly (Fred) Roberts of Newark, Donald J. (Esther Kay) Harris of Heath; four grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn Parker and Ruth Cassaday, both of Florida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Juanita Williamson; and two sisters, Marjorie Miller and Ann Wilson.
