LEXINGTON — Ansgar “Jerry” Rehbein, 81, of Lexington, died Dec. 14, 2011.

Born Aug. 12, 1930, in Düsseldorf, Germany, he was the son of the late Helena and Paul Rehbein In 1955, he immigrated to Toronto, Canada, where he met and married Ann (Harper). In 1958, they moved to Mansfield, where Jerry worked as a pattern maker for General Motors, retiring after 37 years. Jerry was also a carpenter and cabinet maker.

Besides his wife, surviving are sons, Alan Rehbein, Derrick Rehbein and Paul Rehbein, all of Bellville; eight grandchildren; brother, Wendel Rehbein; sister-in-law, Gertrud Rehbein; brother, Roy Harper; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded by parents; mother- and father-in-law, John and Dorothy Harper; sister, Gerharda Rehbein; brother, Alfred Rehbein; and granddaughter, Amanda Rehbein.

Visitation is Dec. 17 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where a memorial service will begin at 5. Full obituary is at http://www.snyderfuneralhomes.com.
