MOUNT VERNON — Ivan D. Busenburg, 92, of Gambier Street, Mount Vernon, passed away Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at the Autumn Health Care Center in Mount Vernon.

He was born Feb. 20, 1919, in Knox County to the late Peter and Emma (Fox) Busenburg. Ivan was a turkey farmer and later was employed and retired as a truck driver with over 21 years of service. He was a member of the United Church of God in Mansfield. Ivan enjoyed gardening, cutting wood and loved the time he spent with his family.

He is survived by his three daughters, Bonnie Busenburg Wilhite of Butler, Barbara (James) Dupee of Ashland, Brenda (Joel) Robinson of Boise, Idaho; his son, Earl Busenburg of Columbus; three grandchildren, Jason (Laurissa) Robinson, Micah (Cristina) Robinson, David Wilhite; a great-granddaughter, Zeralina Robinson; and a great-grandson, Reuben Robinson.

Besides his parents, Ivan was preceded in death by his wife, Vera (Brubaker) Busenburg; three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call Tuesday, Dec. 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown. A service will be held on Wednesday beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Vernon Hargrove officiating. Burial will follow in Ankenytown Owl Creek Cemetery.
