CHESTERVILLE — Paul C. Kanagy, 88, of Chesterville, passed away Dec. 20, 2011, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital.

For over 31 years, Paul worked as a maintenance technician for the Whirlpool Corp. in Marion, retiring in 1986.

Surviving are wife, Louella Kanagy; nine children, Gene Kanagy, Art Kanagy, both of Chesterville, Ken Kanagy of Edison, Becky Yoder of Hydro, Okla., Bonnie Parra of Lynchburg, Va., Carolyn Kanagy of Chesterville, Tim Kanagy of Macon, Miss., Jim Kanagy of Mount Vernon and Larry Kanagy of Rochester, Ind.; 34 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, 4 to 7 p.m., Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead. Service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Gilead Mennonite Church, 7090 County Road 121, Chesterville, with his grandson, Pastor Sean Evans, officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Chesterville.
