MANSFIELD — Frances A. Longacre, 95, former Shelby resident, passed away Dec. 29, 2011, in Mansfield.
Frances was born Nov. 1, 1916, in Marion to Frank and Myrtle (Forsythe) Snyder and graduated from Caledonia High School. On Nov. 2, 1940, she married Ralph E. Longacre. The two remained Shelby residents for 30 years. A homemaker, she took great pride in caring for her family.
Frances is survived by daughter, Jackie McKinney of Shelby; son, James (Mikolean) Longacre of Fernando Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Michael Longacre, Megan McKinney (husband Ben Smith) and Shawna (Preston) Gove; sister, Virginia Linder, and brother. Kenneth (Eunice) Snyder, both of Mount Gilead; sister-in-law, Robin Snyder of Marion; numerous nieces, nephews.
On Nov. 2, 1940, she married Ralph E. Longacre, who died in 2000. Also deceased are son-in-law, Joseph McKinney; brothers, Fay, Ralph and Jack Snyder; sister, Ruthella Poole.
