SUNBURY — Dorothy (Walther) Wickham, 93, of Sunbury, passed away peacefully Jan. 7, 2012.

She was born March 7, 1918, to Carl and Dorothy (Busboom) Walther of Glenvil, Neb. She married Kitridge H. Wickham on March 7, 1938. She was a devoted Christian who loved being surrounded by her family.

Dorothy was a homemaker and also worked as church secretary at Peace Lutheran Church in Gahanna in the 1960s and ’70s. Later in her life she volunteered at ISS in Centerburg for many years. At 90 she was proud to be the oldest member at Curves in Sunbury where she completed over 700 workouts. She was a member at Living Word Lutheran Church in Galena.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, the Rev. Royal E. Walther Sr.; sister, Sophia (Peg) Radcliffe; grandson, Mark Thomas Wickham; great-granddaughter, Stella Lilly Jenkins; great-grandson, Gavin Michael Jenkins.

Survived by a sister, Velma VanDeest; sons, David (Joyce) of Texas, Thomas (Pamela) of Sunbury, Jonathan of Delaware; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
