MANSFIELD — Mervin E. Baker, 81, of Mansfield, died Jan. 7, 2012, in Libery Health Care Center.

He was born Jan. 4, 1931, in Ashland to Howard and E. Ruth (Hershey) Baker.

He served with the U.S. Air Force Reserves.

In addition to his wife of 60 years, Esther (Adams) Baker, he is survived by daughter, DeLee (Russell) Powell; sons, Larry (Valerie) Baker and Marvin (Judy) Baker; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother; four sisters; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Anna Baker; granddaughter, Rebecca Baker; two brothers and two sisters.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, Jan. 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, 350 Marion Ave., where funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
