HOWARD — Juquetta M. “Jackie” Pirics, 70, formerly of Tiffin and now of Apple Valley, Howard, passed away Jan. 12, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Oct. 10, 1941, in Dothan, Ala., to the late Richard and Jessie Lile. Jackie retired as an administrative assistant with Borden Foods in Columbus. Thereafter, Jackie was very active in all aspects of Apple Valley community life, especially the Lake, Fish, Budget and Finance, Property and Long Range Planning committees among others. She also served as past president and treasurer of the Apple Valley Board of Directors. Her many friends will remember her for her willingness to volunteer and contribute to grow and secure the community.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, George Pirics; a son, Kurt (Jayne) of Arlington, Texas; three daughters, Cheryl (Craig) of Michigan City, Ind., Kelly (Dean) of Tiffin and Gina (Jeff) of Tiffin; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four brothers; and three sisters.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call Jan. 21 from 2 to 3 p.m. with a Memorial Service and Celebration of Life party to follow at the Apple Valley Clubhouse, 3725 Apple Valley Drive, Howard, from 3 to 6 p.m. Pastor Terry McLaughlin will be officiating. The family will observe a private graveside service. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to have been chosen to serve the family of Juquetta M. “Jackie” Pirics.
