LEXINGTON — Robert S. Taylor, 78, of Lexington, died Jan. 21, 2012, in Hospice House of Ashland.
He was born Jan. 1, 1934, in Perrysville, the son of Carl Clugh and Clinnie (Darling) Taylor. A U.S. Army veteran, Robert served nearly two years in the Military District of Washington. He worked at D.H. Bowman and Sons for 50 years, retiring in 2004. A former Butler resident, he was a member of the Butler Lions Club.
Surviving are wife, Julie (Mutchler) Taylor; son, Jason E. Stewart; daughter, Jennifer Taylor; and two nephews, Gary Taylor and Steve Taylor.
Deceased are his parents; son, Corey Stewart; brother, Carl Leon Taylor.
Friends may call today, 6-8 p.m., Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where the Butler Lions Club will hold a remembrance service at 8 p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m., with visitation the hour prior to the service.
