ST. LOUISVILLE — A funeral service for Stephanie Nicole Lyons, 22, of St. Louisville will be held Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, with Minister Delmar Jervis officiating.
Stephanie passed away unexpectedly Jan. 21, 2012, at Licking Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 31, 1989, in Mount Gilead, to Douglas A. Lyons and Joy L. (Cooper) Lanigan.
She is survived by her mother, Joy L. (Richard) Lanigan; father, Douglas A. (Melissa) Lyons; brother and also best friend, Douglas T. Lyons; her cousin who was like a sister to her, Katelynn, and her daughter, Kailynn Blair; paternal grandmother, Catherine Irene Lyons; maternal grandparents, Bev and Roy Cooper; stepgrandparents, Robert and Nancy Lanigan; aunts and uncles, Lori (Jay) Phillips, Vicky (Harry) Folk, Bonnie Sloulin, Karen and Dave Candel, Karla Lyons, Greg Lyons, Steve Lyons and Melinda Au; stepaunt and uncle, Patricia and Robert Rostofer; and numerous cousins. She will be dearly missed by her boyfriend, Ryan Wilkinson and her co-workers at Happy Hearts Day Care. Stephanie adored and will miss dearly, John and Regina Shoopman and their children, Gavin and Grace, whom she babysat. Her friend, Ryan Napier will never forget her.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Arthur Ellis Lyons; uncle, Mike Lyons and Aunt Diane.
Stephanie graduated from Utica High School in 2007. After graduation, her love for children started her career as a childcare provider. She was currently working for Happy Hearts Day Care Center.
Stephanie was full of life; everyone who met her loved her. She loved the outdoors, canoeing and camping. She loved animals and often took in strays. She especially loved her two dogs, Cinnamon and Duke. Nanny and Papaw will dearly miss Stephanie.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Jan. 26, from 4-7 p.m. at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark.
