MOUNT VERNON — Jane A. Hunt, 44, of Morris Street, Mount Vernon, passed away unexpectedly at her home Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012.

She was born Dec. 16, 1967, in Mount Vernon, to Richard and Velma (Snyder) Hunt. She had previously worked for PACS in Mount Vernon. Jane lost her courageous battle with diabetes and will be sadly missed by her many friends and family.

She is survived by her mother; three brothers, Jerry (Connie Shoults) Hunt of Mount Vernon, Richard (Jo Ella) Hunt of Newark, Larry (Ginger Tablett) Hunt of Butler; three sisters, Mary (Mike) Shaffer of Amity, Peggy Hunt of Mount Gilead and Debbie Robertson of Mount Vernon. She also leaves behind her canine companion, Zeus.

She was preceded in death by her father.

The family will observe a private service. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to have been chosen to serve the family of Jane A. Hunt.

Memorial contributions in Jane’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 471 E. Broad St., Suite 1630, Columbus, OH 43215.
