HOMER — Jack E. Black, 54, of Homer, died Jan. 29, 2012, at Selma Markowitz Center/LMH, Newark.
Jack was born Sept. 5, 1957, in Mount Gilead to his beloved parents, the late Robert O. and Hazel B. (Edman) Black. His life-long interests included travel and researching sports history.
He was a member of Homer Presbyterian Church and friend to many in the community, whose care in his hour of need is gratefully acknowledged.
He is survived by several cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Homer Presbyterian Church with Rev. Carol R. Weiss officiating. Burial will be in Homer Cemetery.
